Biaxial Oriented Polyester is a thin very clear film manufactured using the dual stretch (transverse and machine direction) stenter technique. This film has excellent stiffness characteristics in relation to its thickness and has a high softening and melting point compared with other plastic films. This film is an ideal base for photographic films and for drafting and reproduction film. |
Typical applications for food are coffee, liquid packaging, freezer to oven ready meals and various lidding applications. Polyester has one of the lowest film barriers to oxygen especially when metallised. The product presents no major health to safety problems when being processed and has wide acceptance in food packaging. It is environmentally friendly and easily recycled.CPL has been involved with BOPET (Polyester Film) production for 10 years in many plants particularly in the far east.
