New BOPP Project for EUROMET - Russia

EUROMET – financial and industrial Group, based in Russia have appointed Continental Polymers to project

manage the construction and start-up of a major new green field project. 

The project is designed for 4 lines with a total capacity of more than 100,000 tons per year. The factory is next to a major highway, close to Moscow and has a land surface of 15 ha. All necessary utilities have been foreseen for a 4 line project. 

Brückner Maschinenbau, the worldwide market and

technology leader for stretching lines has been

awarded the contract for the supply initially of two 8.2m

BOPP production lines. Both lines have a capacity of

25,000 tons/year and the first line will start in January

2005.

A few months later the second line will go on stream and

this will increase production capacity of the EUROMET

Group up to 50,000 tons/year.

These lines will be equipped with the most modern

control and automation systems and are specifically

designed to produce a wide range of speciality films of

the highest quality.

EUROMET’s clear target is to become the major BOPP producer for the Russian Federation and further investments for packaging films are already been planned.
